Aridhia’s wealth of experience of enabling collaborative research projects coupled with our extensive expertise in healthcare data science makes us ideal sub-contractors on Horizon 2020 and IMI projects.
Specifically built to address collaborative research requirements in the clinical domain, AnalytiXagility enables closer collaboration across multidisciplinary and multi-institutional research teams, and offers an innovative data lake approach to big data management.
We are currently working on ADVOCATE (PHC-23-2014), a Horizon 2020 funded project which is utilising a modern data science approach to develop a new model of prevention-oriented healthcare based on rich administrative longitudinal data comprised of several million observations from EU member states. We are also partners in IMI EPAD, a Europe-wide collaboration which is pioneering a novel, more flexible approach to the clinical trials of drugs designed to prevent Alzheimer’s dementia. AnalytiXagility was designed specifically to stimulate innovation and close the gap between concept and commercialisation, allowing users to accelerate the diffusion of innovations: a key element to securing IMI and Horizon 2020 funding.
There are a number of ways in which our expertise can add value to your research programme. AnalytiXagility can be used as the collaborative research and analysis platform for your project, and Aridhia can also provide additional data science support, allowing you and your team to rapidly gain data insights, and develop agile apps or APIs for small trials and/or deployment into healthcare systems for use by clinicians, patients, and care givers.
We are always happy to discuss new opportunities to collaborate. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
A 4 year project funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, ADVOCATE is a collaboration between universities in Amsterdam, Budapest, Copenhagen, Cork, Heidelberg and Leeds, health insurance companies in Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands, the NHS, and Aridhia.
Striving to optimise delivery of oral health and wellbeing in EU member states by delivering an innovative healthcare model, the ADVOCATE (PHC-23-2014: development and comparison of new models for safe and efficient, prevention orientated health care systems) team is using routinely data collected to look at established patterns of care to determine how effective treatments are in reducing disease, with the aim of delivering an optimal, preventative model, oral healthcare system.
AnalytiXagility is providing the technological framework for ADVOCATE, as well as a bespoke dashboard for healthcare providers that delivers access to a range of clinical indicators, and a patient app which will allow participants to become involved in their care.

The 5 year EPAD programme is an innovative, Europe-wide undertaking between the European Union and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) which aims to understand the early stages of Alzheimer’s dementia and prevent dementia before symptoms occur, improving patient outcomes and building upon existing national and regional research cohorts and register studies.
There is an urgent need for new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. The number of people affected worldwide is expected to reach over 100 million by 2050, yet there is still no cure and little in the way of treatments. EPAD is pioneering a novel, more flexible approach to clinical trials of drugs designed to prevent Alzheimer’s dementia in the first place, using an ‘adaptive’ trial design which should deliver better results faster and at lower cost.
Aridhia’s AnalytiXagility platform is providing the data management infrastructure and analytical services for the project which help to deliver new, deep understandings of the Alzheimer’s disease process and clinical expression of these processes, as well as delivering evidence of the impact of an intervention using data collected for the project. This work is supported by Aridhia’s dedicated data science team, who will work on the EPAD Analytical Database.
