Aridhia Informatics provides a platform of software services designed to support best practice in healthcare analytics. At its core, the AnalytiXagility platform provides secure, cloud-based workspaces to allow distributed, multi-disciplinary research teams to share data and collaborate.

The Product Delivery team works to turn ideas into reality, driving the development and operation of the Aridhia platform and services. By constantly reviewing, evaluating and upgrading what they design and build, they ensure that our platform and products remain at the cutting-edge.

We are seeking a talented Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join our DevOps team. Responsibilities include working in an Agile framework-based team to drive automation of day to day tasks and software deployments throughout the platform.

What you’ll deliver

The successful candidate will be working on multiple platform projects, with involvement in design, implementation and maintenance.

We have adopted a DevOps model for everyday tasks where everyone can influence product development and implementation. Aridhia is in the process of transitioning its product suite to the Microsoft Azure platform, so this role will suit candidates seeking to enhance their skills in working with a hyperscale cloud platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Administering and maintaining our hybrid-OS (Lin/Win) platform
  • Automating provisioning of infrastructure and virtual machines
  • Assist the development and release processes as a technical escalation contact
  • Manage and expand our configuration management suite for the platform
  • Assist with technical escalations for 3rd level operational incidents and problems

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • Demonstrate proven experience in a similar role
  • Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows (2008 R2+)
  • A good understanding of containerisation, ideally Kubernetes and Docker
  • Previous experience with public cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with configuration management systems, related scripting languages and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with at least one dynamic scripting language (Ruby Perl, Bash, PowerShell or Python)
  • Network management experience (firewall configuration, preferably with automated solutions)
  • Working experience in a change managed environment and understanding of CM fundamentals.
  • Proactive, self-driven and highly organised with strong time management, reporting and planning skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with VMWare enterprise products
  • Operational experience in a SaaS / PaaS environment
  • Experience of working in an ITIL v3 standards environment (ITIL v3 Certification is a plus).
  • Working experience of GIT-based version controlling and collaborative coding fundamentals
  • Used to working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery using tools.
